Seven and our meeting date

Just found out that there will probably be a holiday concert scheduled for the same day as our next meeting, so I don't think we'll be able to meet. If something changes, I'll let you know.

Instead of meeting in the library, why don't we use our blog to discuss Seven? Derek can still lead the discussion and we can start the discussion anytime, since it'll be online.

I don't believe we voted on which of our books to read after Seven. Should it be Twilight or V?

Please submit your vote and I'll post the results.

Whichever one we choose, we should start reading over Break to be ready for our Jan. meeting.

Wasn't it supposed to be as the last book to read this year?? Cuz I know people have already bought the book, so I think we should read it after A Clockwork Orange (or w/e it's called) That's my vote... but if we had to choose, I'd pick Twilight

Since I read...
I'm already done with both.
People, V is AMAZING. Just because you didn't understand the movie doesn't mean it's a bad book, movie, or story.
:)

And...Twilight is REALLY girly. Like, super-femme. I thought that's why we weren't going to consider A Great and Terrible Beauty? IMO, it has a much more unique story line, and Bray has a much better writing style.
Just a bit of editorializing.

I first off have to bash the choice of Twilight. I am hudge fan of vampires and i believe this book does them little justice. They are creatures of the night. They live forever! The feed on human blood! Why in the world would they be angsty? The hunger vampires are suppose to feel is so strong that it over rides any other feeling. ANNE RICE writes about vampires. Vampires again are creatures of the night doomed to walk in forever darkness. They do not have feelings like you and i. Vampires are not touchy feely! This book makes me very angry. Vampires are one of my personal favorite creatuers of fright. You put them with emotions and lack of wit then they lose all of their mystery and magic. So I would rather read V! Also i will have some nifty questions for seven tomorrow. I have to type them up and i am tired so that will be done tomorrow.

Um... When was A Great and Terrible Beauty ever on the list?? It is a good book, but we have a book picked. I think Twilight is a good book, despite the girly aspects, and for a debut novel, it's really well written. I think its a good alternative for vampires... and Sami luvs vampire books, and she luvs twilight.

Anyways, um, I still think we should read Twilight last. yea

Derek, if you didn't want to read Twilight then you should have voted, otherwise there really isnt any room for you to say we cant read it. Sorry to be a b****, but thats how i see it

We wanted to add another book to the end of the year, since we had 2 months after the last one. We're still reading Twilight nevertheless if we read it before V or not.

I vote for V for Vendetta...we should just leave Twilight for the end and if you don't want to read it. Then..just don't read it??
