I really enjoyed how descriptive it is-sometimes a little gory, such as the "creature" that Nancy saw lying in the sand and the near-dead body of that person hanging in the cage.
Yea.. but that's what makes this story so great because this is a historical fiction book... so Nancy is describing the horrible things she saw... or the details she noticed... like when she saw that the furniture in the house was their old stuff and that her dad definitly had much input in the house. It's really cool that this book IS based on facts and then the author just kind of added some things in there.

Yay!
What little I've read of it so far is really interesting.
Again, a little girly, but I think the guys will get over it. The book's about PIRATES, for Pete's sake.
Freaking sweet.
