V is awesome!
Happy New Year, everyone!
Read a lot of V yesterday and it reminds me in many ways of Phantom of the Opera. These are the similarities I've seen: V and the Phantom are alike because they both hide behind masks, they're a mix of genius and insane, and they "orchestrate" situations that effect many people, often very violently. Like Christine in Phantom, Evey is the lost child looking for a father figure. Also like Christine, Evey is manipulated by V (the Phantom), even though he appears to care for her.
I saw the movie before I read this book and noticed the similarities during the movie. Once I finish the book, I want to see the movie again!

The guys realy do care for their female counterparts. They just show it in...Different ways.
And both feel they know what's best for the girl(s).
Yeah I loved the book. I got it for christmas and read it in a couple of days. I've never seen the movie but I'll probably rent it when I get the chance
